I love strawberries and so does the kids. So, whenever I see strawberries on sale, I will not hesitate in buying a punnet or two. Most of the time we will eat them fresh but the baking bugs struck so I have been on a baking spree of late.
A week ago, I attempted baking some sponge cakes and it has been quite a success and a big hit with the kids. Probably sponge cakes are not as oily and greasy as butter cakes so it is easier to ingest.
