This is another over due post…
Last month was a busy month for us. We had a few guests over as well as PiggyBeng’s cousin’s wedding. Then it was Christmas and New Year.
Our first guests were the pretty and sexy LaundryAmah & gang. It was Peggy’s hubby business trip and the whole family decided to tag along since it was school holiday. They were staying at Gurney Hotel so it was pretty convenient for them to move about.
On the first day, we met up with them and brought them to the beach where we frequent. The kids were having so much fun playing with the sand and wading in the sea water.
After the beach session, we went to Sunshine Bay for dinner. This time we had crabs, the coconut tom yam, chicken and fried noodles. Food was good! *burp~* We called it a day after we dropped them back to the hotel but according to Peggy she dragged her hubby to Pulau Tikus to have another CKT fix! Believe me, she can really eat! 😛
The next day she drove her kids over to my place after she went to look for her CCF (Chee Cheong Fun) in Island Glades. She even packed a packet for me… so kind of her. 🙂
Then we went off to the Aquarium at Batu Maung. They have never been to this place before so both Kieran and Kylie were enjoying themselves. Of coz my Darrius was having the greatest fun too! 😛 Pictures tell a thousand words!

Aww… don’t they look so cute???? 😛
We spent about an hour there so when we were done it was just nice to go for lunch. We went for another round of seafood at Batu Maung Seafood Restaurant which is just across the road. We had the combo prawn dish, a steamed Barramundi in Teoh Chew style, stir-fried ‘kapah’ and vege. Itelyu… we were so full we can hardly walk!
Then we followed Peggy back to the hotel as the kids wanted to go swimming in the pool. On the way to the hotel, I wanted to get the rojak for Peggy to try but the stall was closed. Then we went to Penang Road to get that Famous Cendol and some apam balik from Burmah Road. It was extremely hot that day so we thought of waiting for the sun to set before letting the kids go down. While waiting, the kids were having fun fooling around in the room….
We did not bring our camera down to the pool since all of us went into the pool. Though it was such a hot day but the water in the pool was freezing!!!!! bbbrrrrrrrrr…..
After we bathed the kids, Peggy’s hubby came back from his meeting and we asked him to join us for dinner since he don’t have other appointments. For dinner we went to Nyonya Breeze located along Abu Siti Lane after some feedback from Jazzmint who was here earlier in November. Will review the food in another post. 🙂
It was drizzling when we are done with dinner so while waiting for PiggyBeng to drive the car over, we did some photo sessions…
Before we parted ways, PiggyBeng asked if Peggy wanna go for the ‘authentic’ CKT? Of course she said YES! 😆 Though it was raining, we drove all the way to Siam Road to have the very authentic CKT which uses charcoal… Was it good??? Look at Peggy’s expression….
We were practically stuffed all the way up to our throat! I can hardly breathe after the CKT… I’ve never eat so much at nite! So sinful hor? CKT as dessert some more! 8) I don’t think any diet pills can help us with the way we eat!
Initially we agreed to meet up for breakfast the next day and mana tau I was attacked by the worst food poisoning episode and ended up like a sick cat! Then I heard from Peggy that Kieran was the next victim followed by herself, Kylie and my Darrius! Poor Kieran was having a really bad one and poor boy was supposed to have his birthday party 2 days later. However, Peggy was like all the supermoms… she still managed to bake a cake and whipped up all the food for the party!
Peggy, it was great having you guys here and I hope Kieran don’t hate Penang anymore! 😛 The culprit that caused the food poisoning… apam balik from Burmah Road!
