Actually I like rain especially those ‘flash rain’ where they are heavy for a short period of time. Why??? Well, I can just drive my car out and let the rain water wash my car for me and I can save lots of time and $$$ on car washes…. 😆
However, Penang is well known for its extreme hot weather throughout the year except during the end of the Lunar 8th month and early 9th month (which is now) when it gets a little rainy.
This afternoon, we went to a relative’s house for vegetarian lunch in Sg. Dua. There are limited parking around so we were very happy when we found a lot with a huge tree above as this afternoon it was scorching hot.
When we got down after our lunch, an unsightly scene greeted us when we reached our car… aiyoh… there were some small fruits dropped onto our windscreen and there’s no way we could leave our car with those stuff sticking on it for days. If only we have a car cover, we can save the trouble of washing the car. So, we drove all the way to Sungai Pinang where Dolphine Car Wash is and give our car a thorough wash.
We always patronise this car wash as they are one of the cheapest car wash around Penang Island with good service and friendly staff. We even bought their promotional coupons that offers 4 washes for just RM10! Their regular price per wash is RM3 which is also considered quite cheap lar! 😛
In KL, the minimum we have to pay is RM7 a wash… So, if you are in Penang, you can pop by and give your car a little wash… 😛
