Last weekend was fun as we had so much fun wallopping up some good food! We had our 1st crusteceans fiesta… one dish cooked by me and another by PiggyBeng. Yeah, PiggyBeng wanna show one of his ‘speciality’ and to make him even happier, I told him I will post his ‘dish’ up!
The last box of Prima Taste DIY food box I have was the Singapore Chilli Crab. To prepare this dish, I have to use the most expensive main ingredient – crabs! Since we can’t find Sri Lankan crabs as suggested by the box, so we substituted with some sea flower crabs instead. The crabs cost us RM19 for 4 medium size. Very unfortunate, one of it turned out to be rotten! The stewpig fish monger still claimed his crabs all very fresh! What a crap!

Then I realised the paste for the sauce did not have coarsely chopped garlic and ginger so I added a whole load myself as PiggyBeng loves those ingredients! I was glad I did that or else it won’t taste as good as it should! The additional garlic and ginger turned the whole dish extra yummy, that we whacked the whole bowl in less than 30 minutes!
The verdict: Good to try but remember to add the chopped garlic and ginger… really spie up the taste a whole lot more!

Eh, didn’t know they sell Prima Taste in Penang too… Ya, if you use the gigantic Sri Lanka crabs which is very meaty, it’ll taste fabulous. I think the Prima Taste Chicken Rice pack is also good.
